Moving Because of Chocolate
One evening Albert saw a large dog in front of his gate and he gave it a small piece of chocolate from his pocket. The dog became a regular-visitor and Albert called it with ‘Bingo’. Bingo demanded a large bar of chocolate a day. If he did not receive any chocolate, Bingo got angry and refused to let him open the gate. Since Albert couldn’t afford so much chocolate, he had to move to a new neighborhood.

A Surprised Position
On returning to my home town after many years’ absence, I went and saw my old friend, Tom Clark. At that time Tom had invited a distinguished writer to give talk at the local library. As the subject interested me, he asked me to go with him. That evening just before the talk the writer’s secretary telephoned Tom to say that the speaker wouldn’t be able to come. Then Tom suggested that I should address the audience and he led me into the Reading Room.
Henry’s Flowers
Henry’s hobby is unusual, he likes planting flowers in strange places. In his spare time, he goes around on a bicycle and he takes a long pipe with him. Sometimes people make fun of him but they can’t ever prevent him from planting seeds in neglected pieces of land. Even though he loves flowers so much, Henry doesn’t have real flowers in his own house because he believes to fresh flowers should be out there where they belong.
Regret in Christmas Day
In spite of the fact that the whole family wanted us to stay at home for Christmas, my brother and I kept going to abroad. We went sight-seeing two days before Christmas. In the evening we went to listen to Christmas songs sung by children round the brightly lit tree in the main square. The next day we intended to eat a meal at the best restaurant, we searched it for hours but after searching we found everything shut so we returned to our hotel. Finally we ate the fruits that had bought by my brother two days before and we felt sad when we thought of every one at home.
Song of Traffic Jam
At the corner a large crowd gathered after the traffic stopped. Everyone looked puzzled because thousands of birds could be heard singing though there were hardly any, there was not a bird in sight. Then two policemen saw a large advertisement for a film high up on a wall. For the direction, they climbed up it after climbing they found that the noise had been caused by birds singing which was being broadcast over powerful loudspeakers in a tape recorder. The police asked the advertisers to take the recorder away because the loud had stopped the traffic.
